![]() Started in the 1990 as a country act when oldest sibling Scott was 7 and his triplet brothers, Bob, Clint and Dave were only six years old. Sons of professional vocalists, they released their first LP in 1994. The album failed to take off though, and, seeing the success of boy bands such as the backstreet boys and nsync, they switched to the pop world with their 1999 release Chapter 1: A New Beginning. That album gained them prominence internationally. They redefined the label of boy band, if not shedding the label completely, with their next album, Submodalities (a word that Clint found in a book titled 'using your brain for a change', meaning anything to do with a visual change in image) released in 2000. This album helped them make the jump to alternative rock, as can easily be heard in their lyrics and the overall sound of the music. ![]() |
